Model COP

COPには他の国からたくさんのユースが参加しています。残念ながら今回はアジアからの参加が少ないですが、この機会にアジアユースの連携を強めようと様々なイベントが企画されています。我々CYJはCOP1週目の中盤にModel COPなるものを主催しました。といってもCOPの全体の流れを模倣するのに必要な知識や能力がなかったことと、参加国数が限られてしまったので、各国の気候変動に関する問題点を小グループで共有しました。

議論の後に、ユースができるアクションプランを考え、いろいろ面白いアイディアが出てきました。結果は後ほど別の機会に公開したいと思いますが、国境を越えて政治的利害関係のないユースならではの発想は非常に貴重だと思います。今回は台湾・中国・日本の3ヶ国しか参加できませんでしたが、来年以降もっと多くの国と意見交換ができたらと思います。

We hold the workshop with Asian youth although not so many countries could join compared to the Western youth. CYJ tried to hold the “Model COP” during this workshop but we realized we do not have resources and knowledge to implement the model COP in addition to the lack of countries joined in this activity. So we changed the plan to share and discuss the climate issues in their own countries. We got interesting action plans for the climate change at last.
